JEAN-BAPTISTE DANET
Jean-Baptiste Danet, Business is Beautiful
Jean-Baptiste is CEO of the Dragon Rouge Group. In 2001, he created Interbrand in France, then headed Interbrand Europe. He has extensive experience with a number of major brands in various countries, from Randstad and EDF to SFR and Supersol. He also worked in marketing, consultancy and management at Philips and Thorn EMI.
He is the author of Business is Beautiful, and Vice President of the ‘Croissance Plus’ representing high–growth businesses and entrepreneurs in France. He’s fond of provocative debates, lively meetings, and being surrounded by objects with a history.
For decades the value of brands and businesses have been measured in a tangible way, using tried and tested methods. But, in the past ten years we’ve seen new business models creating value and raising funds with other influences at their centre – ideas, creativity, innovation.
At TEDxBedford Jean-Baptiste will suggest that it is time to look at value in a different way.
What if we take a different set of drivers for business – integrity, curiosity, elegance, craft and prosperity (in its broadest sense)? These are the qualities to be found in beautiful businesses, and these are the intangible values that Jean-Baptiste wants to explore and celebrate.
